Some are fortunate to escape the inescapable pain of lower back pain during pregnancy, but they would seem to be in the minority. If you are currently one of those who is suffering from back pain it may not make you feel better knowing that between 50% and 75% of women suffer back pain during pregnancy, but you may feel slightly better knowing you are far from alone.

There is the question of labour and giving birth, and we are also able to provide an excellent service helping you and your body prepare for labour and childbirth too. Even the NHS uses chiropractic to a limited degree, limited likely owing to budget constraints. However, on their website they do state that, “Currently, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommends manual therapy that might include spinal manipulation (as practised by chiropractors) as a treatment option for persistent lower back pain.”Chiropractic is a profession which comes under a great deal of scrutiny, and so it should, as it is dealing with the most important aspect of your life, your health. As a consequence, you will never find us here at the Bristol Chiropractic Centre making wild claims about what we can achieve for you, but instead rely on results speaking for themselves. We know for many pregnant women who have suffered with persistent back pain that a visit to us has helped alleviate many of the symptoms, but as no two people are the same, it would be wrong to guarantee anything. What we can do is help you the best we can, and not just in alleviating back pain during pregnancy.

To find out more on how chiropractic may be able to help you with back pain during pregnancy, why not give us a call? Here at the Bristol Chiropractic Clinic we are extremely experienced pregnancy chiropractors in Bristol and we would be delighted to see you.
